Ethical Fund Manager

Published: 18 February 2026

Nest has today begun a procurement for an ethical equity mandate, inviting managers with proven investment discipline, integration of ethical criteria, and rigorous active ownership credentials to propose diversified global solutions.

As Nest has grown, so too has the scale and maturity of its ethical investment offering. This growth now allows Nest to consider a segregated, custom ethical equity mandate for its Ethical Fund, supporting closer alignment with member preferences, enhanced oversight of ethical policy compliance, and greater transparency. The move also creates an opportunity to evaluate the full breadth of what is available across the market and ensure Nest continues to deliver value for money for its members.

Nest is seeking a manager to deliver a broad-based global equity solution that integrates Nest’s ethical criteria from first principles. The appointed manager will be expected to report against the mandate in a segregated structure, supporting enhanced monitoring of ethical policy compliance while meeting Nest’s transparency requirements.

Anders Lundgren, Head of Public Markets at Nest, said:

“In 2025 we undertook comprehensive member research to reassess expectations for our Ethical Fund. Our members told us they want their ethical option to invest in companies that can prove their positive contribution to society and the environment, while maintaining clear boundaries on what’s not acceptable. This market invitation is about finding a partner to deliver this approach at scale while, reflecting our commitment to always review our investment arrangements and act in the best interests of our members.

“We look forward to reviewing submissions and developing a partnership with the successful bidder.”

Nest Corporation invites interested parties to participate in the tender process, which will be conducted through Nest’s procurement platform from 16 February 2026. The deadline for receipt of tenders is 13 March 2026.
