FAQs

Nest is a workplace pension, not a private one – so you can’t join directly yourself, unless you’re self-employed or a single person director with no employees. Most of our members join when they’re automatically enrolled by their employer.

You can find your Nest ID in your welcome pack. You’ll get this by post up to 5 working days after you've been enrolled by your employer.

If you haven’t received your welcome pack or can’t find your Nest ID, you can still set up your online account. Head to the log in page and click 'I don’t have my Nest ID'.

If you’ve forgotten your username, we can send you a reminder by email or text. Head to the log in page and click ‘Forgotten username?’.

The easiest way to manage your money and keep track of your pension pot is through your personal dashboard. See what else you can do using your online account.

If you’re self-employed, or a single person director with no employees, you can set up a Nest pension for yourself. You’ll just need your National Insurance number – which you can find on any payslip or letter from HMRC) – then you can go ahead and join Nest.

Pensions are investments, their value can go up or down.
