Nominate a beneficiary

Your retirement pot is your property. If you die before you take it, it’s up to you who gets it. All you need to do is let us know and we’ll make sure they get it if you die. This can be a particular person, several different people, your favourite charity or any other organisation you’d like to see benefit.

It’s easy to let us know. Just log into your online account and go to ‘Edit your profile’. Fill in the section ‘Nominate a beneficiary’ and it’s all taken care of.

Find out more about how to nominate a beneficiary on our member help centre.

If you don’t tell us who you want to get it, it may become a part of your estate. It’s then up to the executor of your will to determine who gets the money. Usually this will be your next of kin or the person who’s named in your will. Even if you’re happy with that, it’s worth letting us know who you want to get it, as this can make it much faster for it to be paid out.

Who do you want to get your money?

Log into your online account to let us know who should get your retirement pot if you die. When you log in for the first time you’ll need the NEST ID from your welcome letter and your National Insurance number.
