In early 2026, we set up and ran our very first Nest Member Assembly – a new way of bringing members’ voices right into the heart of how we make decisions.
Together, we explored the big question: How should Nest invest in the best interests of our members?
We’ve always listened to our members through surveys, focus groups and interviews, but a member assembly goes deeper. Inspired by Citizens’ Assemblies used by governments around the world, it gives people the time and space to reflect, deliberate and shape recommendations around what matters most to them.
Over two weekends, in Manchester and London, we brought together a diverse group of Nest members.
During the assembly, we:

At the end of the process, our members voted on a set of advisory recommendations and agreed on principles that will guide how we involve members in our decision-making going forward.
