No matter what job you do or how much you earn, if your employer chooses Nest or you’re self-employed, you can save with us.

Ask your employer who your workplace pension scheme is if you’re not sure you’re with Nest.

Joining through my employer

Nest is a workplace pension, not a private pension. Most of our members join when they’re automatically enrolled by their employer.

Joining as self-employed

If you’re self-employed or the sole director of a company that doesn’t employ anyone else, you can use Nest to save for your retirement.

It’s possible to join Nest after getting a share of a partner’s pension pot in a divorce settlement.

Can you opt out?

If you're automatically enrolled into Nest you can opt-out as long as you're within your one month opt-out period.
