When will I need my employer NEST ID and my delegate NEST ID?

You’ll need the employer NEST ID when you complete the automatic enrolment declaration of compliance (registration) with The Pensions Regulator. You’ll need this ID to provide an employer pension scheme reference (EPSR) for your NEST scheme. It may also be needed if you’re setting up with a third party payroll provider.

The employer NEST ID is also a mandatory field in any CSV files you upload when enrolling workers or sending contribution details to us.

You’ll need your delegate NEST ID when calling our contact centre. By entering the digits from your ID when prompted you can complete our data protection checks and allow our operators to quickly find your details.
