How do I change my username in my online account?

If you need to change your username you need to know:

  • your current password
  • the answers to your secret questions.

Click ‘Manage security details’ from your NEST home page. Then click ‘Change your username’ and complete the required information.

Enter your new username in the Create new username box and click the ‘Check Availability’ button. We’ll check if the username is valid and available and you’ll get an on screen confirmation message. If you need some help for the creation of a new username then click on the help icon. This will show the requirements for creating your username.

You’ll need to enter your current password and answer two secret questions. Once you’ve completed this click ‘Done’.

Once you have changed your username you will be taken to the log in screen and asked to log in again. We’ll confirm you’ve successfully changed your username in a message at the top of the screen.
