How do I update my details?

There are a number of ways to update your details in your NEST account.

Log in to your account from the NEST website. From your NEST home page you can select ‘Edit your profile’. If you haven’t already activated your online account please see How do I log in to my online account?

Now click ‘Edit personal details’.

You’ll see all of your current personal details. Select ‘Edit’ next to the details you need to change.

Once you’ve made the change, click ‘Done’ at the bottom of the page to save any changes. You’ll see your updated details straight away.

We’ll need to see evidence before we can update some of your details like Title, Date of birth, Gender or Name. When you try to edit these details, there will be a form which you’ll need to download. The form will tell you what documents you’ll need to provide. Once we’ve received your completed forms and evidence we’ll update your details within five working days and return any evidence to you. Please see Why do I need to provide evidence to update my details and what evidence do you accept? for more information.

You can update some details through our automated phone system. Call us on 0300 020 0090 and key in your NEST ID, National Insurance number or Alternative Identifier and your date of birth. You’ll need to choose option 5 to edit personal details.

With your employer

Your employer can update any of your details for you if you’ve been enrolled in the last six weeks and you haven’t yet set up your online account.
