How can I transfer money out of NEST?

NEST uses Origo Options, which can be the quickest and easiest way to transfer your retirement pot.

Before you request a transfer from NEST, you should ask your receiving scheme if they use Origo Options. If they do, they'll need to send over a transfer pack from NEST. You may find it easier to do this via logging into your NEST online account.

If you're transferring to an overseas scheme, call us at the contact centre on 0300 020 0090.

If you're transferring to a UK pensions scheme, click 'Take your money out' on the home page of your NEST online account to request a transfer pack.

Then click ‘Explore this option’ in the Transfer your NEST Retirement pot box.

On the next page, you’ll need to click ‘Send me a transfer pack’. We’ll send you an information pack about transferring out of NEST.

Your transfer-out information pack should be available in your online NEST mailbox within 48 hours. If we hold a valid email address for you, we’ll email you to let you know when it’s there. If you’ve told us you prefer paper communication, the pack will also be sent to you by post and should reach you within four working days.

Once you receive the transfer-out information pack, you’ll need to read the instructions in it carefully before entering the details. You’ll need to send us the completed form along with some proof of identification if required, by post to the address mentioned in the form for us to start processing your request.
