How can I transfer money out of NEST?

 We’ve created a video on how you can transfer your money out of NEST and where can you transfer your money to.

NEST uses Origo Options, which can be the quickest and easiest way to transfer your retirement pot. You’ll need to contact the receiving scheme and ask if they use it. You can also check if the receiving scheme is listed on the Origo website

If they use Origo Options, they’ll need to send over a transfer request. If they don’t use this service, you’ll need to request a transfer pack.

To request a transfer pack from NEST, click ‘Take your money out’ on the home page of your NEST online account.

Then click ‘Explore this option’ in the Transfer your NEST Retirement pot box.

On the next page, you’ll need to click ‘Send me a transfer pack’. We’ll send you an information pack about transferring out of NEST.

Your transfer-out information pack should be available in your online NEST mailbox within 48 hours. If we hold a valid email address for you, we’ll email you to let you know when it’s there. If you’ve told us you prefer paper communication, the pack will also be sent to you by post and should reach you within four working days.

Once you receive the transfer-out information pack, you’ll need to read the instructions in it carefully before entering the details. You’ll need to send us the completed form along with some proof of identification by post to the address mentioned in the form for us to start processing your request. We won’t be able to accept photocopies of your documents by email. This helps us to keep your details and your money safe.

It may take longer for us to complete your request if additional evidence is required or the information sent by you is incorrect or incomplete.
