There are 3 ways a worker can opt out of saving into a pension pot with us:
Whichever option the worker picks, they must be the one to do it – no one can do it on their behalf.
The auto enrolment law allows a worker one month to opt out of saving into a pension pot. For our scheme, this starts 3 working days after you enrol them. If a worker requests to opt out by post, it can take up to 5 working days for the form to reach them. We’ll only send a paper form if there’s enough time for them to complete and return it before the end of their opt-out period.
If the worker would like more information on opting out, they can read our article, 'How do I opt out?'
