Here are some useful links across the NEST site and beyond to help you out in the first instance:

Further support and advice

As a pension provider, we’re not able to provide you with independent advice. However, we can point you towards the following free resources that might help you out further:

Pension Wise. This service offers impartial personal guidance from the age of 50. You can also get guidance if you’re able to access your pot early due to ill-health.

The  Pensions Advisory Service. This service offers independent information, advice and guidance on all types of pensions, including workplace pensions.

The Citizens Advice Bureau. This service provides independent, confidential and impartial advice to anyone who needs it on their rights and responsibilities across a range of topics.

The Money Advice Service. This service offers unbiased advice to help you make the most of your money. They can assist you with any questions you might have about debt repayment, saving and budgeting.

In some situations, you might decide that you’d like to speak with an independent financial advisor. They will be able to take into account your specific circumstances and provide you with tailored advice around the best ways to manage your money.

They will charge a fee for their services, but this can often be worthwhile for the benefit of personalised advice. You can find an adviser in your area by searching on the Money Advice Service website.

Beware of pension scams

While it’s something you’ll hopefully never have to deal with, it’s important to be aware of pension scams. The Pension Regulator’s site has advice on how to spot a scam and what to do if you’re ever affected by one.

Is your pension plan on track?

We’ve put together a simple Three Step Pension Check to help you identify the kind of retirement you want and see if your current plan is on track to deliver it. It’s a great way to find out if you need to make any changes to work towards the retirement you want.
