How do I upload an enrolment CSV file?

Once you have your completed CSV file, go to the 'Manage workers' area from your NEST homepage. Click 'file upload'.

In step 1 – Select the file you're going to upload, click on 'Browse' and this will allow you to find the enrolment file you generated or have saved on your computer. Select the correct file and then 'Open' and you'll see the file name in the Choose the file to upload box.

In step 2 – Upload the file, click 'Upload file' and our system will check to make sure the file and the worker records are valid

You might find that a number of worker records pass while others fail this initial validation. A worker record might fail validation if you haven't chosen the correct payment source or group name that matches your online account.  You can either select 'Don't process this file' and fix any errors before trying again, or you can process the file to enrol the valid records and submit a second, corrected file later.
If there are any errors we'll let you know using either an onscreen message if you have less than 50 workers in your file. If you have more than 50 workers we'll send a message to your online mailbox.

You'll need to click 'Process this file' when the option appears to enrol all workers who have valid records in the file. Your workers will not be enrolled into NEST unless you process the file.
If your file has fewer than 50 workers, we'll tell you onscreen the number of workers that have been successfully enrolled. If there are more than 50 workers on the file, we'll need some additional time to process the file. We'll send a CSV file to your secure mailbox confirming the workers that have been successfully enrolled. This will include beginning and end dates of the opt-out period for the workers who are entitled to an opt-out period.

Your workers will receive an email from us three working days after they've been successfully enrolled, as long as you've provided us with their email address. This will confirm that they've been enrolled.
They should receive the email at roughly the same time as they get their welcome pack in the post.  This contains important information for them to read, including how to register with NEST and details about how to opt out if that's appropriate. We'll post it to the address you gave as their home address.
