Your account

As a member of NEST you have an online account that you can access wherever you are, whenever you like. By logging in now you can start to make the most of being a member of NEST. If you are unsure about the security of online accounts, we offer guidance on how to stay safe online.

First time log in checklist

The first time you log in there are a couple of really important things you should do:

  • Make sure we have the right contact details for you. This includes the right postal address and an email address that’s convenient for you. It’s a good idea to add a personal email address rather than a work one so we can still keep in touch with you if you change employer.
  • Tell us who you’d like to give your retirement pot to if you die before taking your money out of NEST. It could be your partner, a member of your family, your favourite charity, a trust or a combination of people or organisations.

What you can do when you log in

When you log into your account you can keep track of your retirement pot, make changes to the way you've saving, and more.

Manage your contributions

Putting extra money in your retirement pot can make a big difference to what you get at the end. NEST lets you increase your regular contributions or make one-off payments when you want to put a little extra aside.

Combine your pension pots

If you have more than one pension pot, you might be able to transfer your other pension savings to NEST. We only accept transfers from certain pots and it’s important you know which type of pension pot we accept.

Change the way your money is managed

Your money will be automatically put into a NEST Retirement Date Fund designed to have your money ready for you when you’re due to take it out. We also offer a choice of funds for people with personal beliefs or preferences about how we manage their money.

Keeping your money safe

We work hard to look after your money. By spreading your retirement pot across different kinds of investments and companies, we help keep your money safe while it grows. And as all members’ money is held securely under trust, your retirement pot is protected, whatever happens to NEST or your employer.

Log in for the first time

When you log into your online account for the first time we’ll ask you for your NEST ID and your National Insurance (NI) number or your unique identifier if your employer used one. If you don’t have your NEST ID you can still log in with your NI number.
