What information do I need to provide about an individual delegate?

When adding a new individual delegate you’ll need to provide the following information:

  • title
  • first name
  • last name
  • email address
  • relationship to the organisation
  • job title (optional)
  • address and postcode
  • phone number and mobile number(optional).

You’ll then need to select the type of access you wish to give the delegate. The different roles you can give to a delegate are:

  • full access delegate
  • general delegate
  • payments delegate
  • enrolment delegate
  • schedule delegate
  • read-only delegate.

Each individual delegate will need their own email address. We’ll send a notification to the email address provided when there are messages waiting in their online NEST mailbox. We’ll only send information to the individual delegate’s online NEST mailbox that relates to their access level.

Once you’ve submitted all of the above information, we’ll send an invitation by email to the potential delegate. This could take up to 24 hours to arrive. The potential delegate will need to follow the link provided in the email within 28 days to accept the invitation and create their login credentials.

If the potential delegate doesn’t accept their invite within 28 days the invite will expire. You or another full access delegate will then need to send the invite to the potential delegate again.

If the potential delegate doesn’t receive their invite it might be that it was sent to the incorrect email address so you’ll need to check this before re-sending an invite. A full access delegate will need to send the invite to the potential delegate again.
