Welcome to NEST

At NEST, we believe that saving in a pension should be straightforward, worth your while and fair. NEST gives everyone a way to get the most from their pension savings without being an expert. All you need to do is contribute and we’ll focus on growing your money and keeping it safe.

What we’ve been up to

Every year we report on how we’re doing. Our most recent financial year ran from April 2013 to March 2014. Over those 12 months we collected tens of millions of pounds in contributions and been joined by hundreds of thousands of new members like you.

We’ve created a round-up to let you know about how we look after your retirement pot. It shows you what we’ve been doing with your money and some of the other things we do to help you make the most of your savings.

As a member of NEST you’ll have your own online account and be able to make some decisions about what happens to your money if you want to. We’ll tell you everything you need to know about being a member of NEST, from switching on your online account to taking your money out when the time’s right.

Not everyone gets automatically enrolled. It depends on your age, how much you earn and whether you normally work in the UK. Find out more about:

If you’re not automatically enrolled you may still be able to ask your employer to enrol you in NEST. They might even have to make a contribution to your retirement pot for you. If you’re self-employed or a single person director and don’t have anyone working for you then you can join NEST too.

Who are NEST?

We want to give our members a better income in retirement. The way we’re set up, the way we are run and how we choose the people who work at NEST are key to making that happen.

My account

As a member of NEST you have an online account. Once you’ve switched it on you can check the value of your retirement pot, see what your employer is contributing or use our Pension Calculator to find out what you could get back in the end.
